Please Don't Leave Me!
A week, WOW! I don't usually go so long without updating you on something or at least Wordless Walker Wednesday. I missed everything!!
I got sucked into the Twilight cult!! Yes, last Sunday I read Twilight. Monday started New Moon and then went to The Eagles concert! It was great, they played alot of their new stuff but LOTS of the old stuff that I love. Tuesday, the rest of New Moon. Wednesday, out to dinner with friends and the Wake Forest vs. VA Tech basketball game(alumni from each in my office) and too many Dead Guy Ales! Thursday and part of Friday, Eclispe and today I started and finished Breaking Dawn.
Whew, I did alot of reading this week. I can't say that I am obsessed as some, but I at least now know who Edward Cullen is. When I first saw all the flair on Face*book, I had no clue who he was. Although I am not obsessed, I do LOVE books that seem to never end. Love, Love, Love books with sequels.
Anybody else out there with the Twilight "obsession"? What about the movie? Like or dislike?

Little Wonders
This song brought me immense pain when I first heard it, but now it brings me some hope. A new year with new hope of things ahead, to try and let the pain of losing Walker take a backseat. Please don't misinterpret that comment. Walker will NEVER take a backseat in my life, but the pain may need to.
It is a new year, a new woman, hear me ROAR!
Please Pray!!
Please whoever reads this blog get down on your knees and pray for the health of this newborn baby. She was a big baby, but immediately had trouble breathing. They have transferred her by helicopter to a bigger hospital for more intensive care. It appears that things may be turning towards the positive for her health, but she still is a very sick newborn baby girl!!
Please ask the Lord for his Grace on allowing this baby to stay here on earth and be raised by her earthly parents.
Praise be to God!!

Hysteroscopy
No, I am not sure how to correctly pronounce it. I did have it performed yesterday though. It was not even close to being as uncomfortable as I thought it would be, maybe it was the drugs. First let me tell you, I will NEVER be a prescription drug addict. How in the world do people like the feeling those drugs give you? YUK!
I took a valium, 4 ibuprofen and 2 Loritab an hour before the procedure. A shot of Toridol when I got there and I was good to go. The procedure was very quick and pretty interesting. I watched the whole thing, which for anybody that knows me is a miracle. I usually don't want to see ANYTHING.
The worse part was the shots (3 or 4) to numb my cervix. Once that was done I felt nothing. I did get to see the inside of my uterus and the openings of my fallopian tubes. Everything looked great, according to the doctor. There was some old tissue at the top of my uterus (fundus). It is called scar tissue, but is is just old tissue. So they cut it off! Yep, cut and I watched the whole thing.
Underneath, nice pink tissue. Exactly what they wanted to see. YEA!! I was prepared for bad cramping and being uncomfortable, but I have not had anything. Small, small period type cramping is all.
My day 3 blood tests came back. They were an improvement than they were a year ago. I will give that credit to my acupunturist! FSH was 8.67 down from 12.5 and estridol was 40, which under 50 is great. YEA! Seeing some progress.
What did happen was that the drugs kicked my tail! I was still groggy today and not really able to concentrate very well. I feel better now, but wow, drugs are BAD. Stay away from them people.
Say NO to drugs!

Goodbye to Man's Best Friend
Our sweet Pete lost his battle with cancer on Friday. We took him to the vet and stayed with him until the end. He was courageous and loving up until the last minute trying to make it easier for us. He never showed an ounce of pain or sadness. He was a GREAT dog and wonderful companion. We will miss him dearly.
We Love You Pete!

A New Year
New Year's has never been my most favorite holiday. This year was no different. We both worked all day and didn't make plans until about 5:30 that night. Met some friends for some drinks and head over to another couples house to hang out and ring in the new year. YIPPEE!
Here we are deep in celebration...
So now it is 2009, I have several resolutions swirling around in my head. I usually don't make them and when I have, they have never been completed. The top three are (1) to be a better servant to God (2) to accept that I may never be pregnant again (3) start the adoption paperwork. Two of the three I think will be much easier than #2. I keep preaching to myself that I have to start living my life and quit living each month between cycles, hoping and praying for something that just doesn't seem like it is going to happen. In 2007 and 2008, we tried every option and every resource we had to become pregnant. In 2009 we will try and live life as it is, one day at a time.
What were you resolutions?
